Upcoming Week in TV:10/30 Aliens, Witches & The Crown

By Alyssa & DrWho42

Baseball dominates so expect a wacky schedule on FOX this week.

Three notable additions to this week in TV are on non-network channels TBS, IFC and Netflix.  TBS brings an ‘alien abduction” sit com to the air titled People of Earth, starring Wyatt Cenac (The Daily Show). Conan O’Brien and Greg Daniels, the guy who brought us The Office, have put together this odd & funny half hour comedy. Continuing the theme of odd sit-com’s comes IFC’s Stan against Evil, the star  John McGinley (Scrubs) brings a level of the absurd to this otherwise run-of-the-mill supernatural comedy. The final new addition, The Crown, is brought to us by Netflix. The series takes place at the beginning of Elizabeth II’s reign with the sudden death of her father King George VI. It stars John Lithgow (as Churchill), Claire Foy (as Elizabeth II), & Matt Smith (as her husband Phillip). With high production values, this could be a very interesting if you like this kind of show.

There are a few season finales this week – The Strain, Atlanta, and The Good Place. Lastly, there are a couple of specials on the SCIENCE channel Tuesday which are quite interesting – The Dark Web & Brains on Video Games.
