Walker Stalker Comes to San Francisco

By Transmute Jun

Fans of The Walking Dead are devoted. We read the comics, we watch the television shows (yes, there are two of them now) and we might even play the PC and mobile games. But the best way to celebrate your Walking Dead fandom is to get together with other fans and celebrate what you love about this franchise.

The San Francisco Bay Area will get a chance to do just that on April 15 and 16 as Walker Stalker returns to San Francisco. The 2017 convention will take place at Fort Mason Center, located between Fisherman’s Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. Walker Stalker is a fan-run organization that has been putting on Walking Dead conventions for fans since 2013. They now host numerous shows across the world, allowing Walking Dead fans to come together and enjoy what they love.

Walker Stalker San Francisco will feature an exhibit floor and panels, but I am especially looking forward to the wide variety of walker and cast member cosplayers that are expected to attend the event.

Of course, a convention is only as good as its guests, and Walker Stalker is bringing some great talent to the Bay Area. Headliners for this con are Norman Reedus (Daryl), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), Tom Payne (Jesus), Khary Payton (King Ezekiel), Austin Amerlio (Dwight), Seth Gilliam (Father Gabriel), and Josh McDermitt (Eugene). Many of the dearly departed will also be in attendance, including Michael Cudlitz (Abraham), Scott Wilson (Herschel), Michael Rooker (Merle) and Iron E. Singleton (T-Dog). Additionally, there will be guests from Sons of Anarchy (Ron Perlman, Ryan Hurst, and Tommy Flanagan), The Boondock Saints (Sean Patrick Flanery and David Della Rocco) and Z Nation (Keith Allan and Russell Hodgkinson). For those who play the Telltale Walking Dead games, Melissa Hutchinson (the voice of Clementine) will also be in attendance.

All guests will be available both days of the con for autographs and photo ops (additional fee).

Tickets for Walker Stalker San Francisco are still available, as are discounted hotel rooms at the Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf.
