SDCC Open Registration Goes Quickly and Smoothly

By Transmute Jun

San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) 2017 open registration was held this morning, April 8, just under a month after returning registration, which was held on March 11.  The sale began with everyone waiting anxiously to be sorted, and then at 9:06 am people began moving into the buying window. Preview night lasted for about 20 minutes, and 4 days were still available for another 22 minutes beyond that. In a first this year, Sunday badges sold out before Thursday badges (although only by 2 minutes).

9:06 AM PT – First badges sold

9:20 AM PT – Preview Night gone

9:42 AM PT – Saturday gone

9:50 AM PT – Friday gone

10:10 AM PT – Sunday gone

10:12 AM PT – Thursday gone/Sale over

All remaining attendee badges were sold at open registration, meaning that there is no longer an opportunity for regular attendees to buy badges for SDCC 2017, although there may be contests for badges.
