Next Week in TV 6/18: So Long Saul and Enter The Mist

By Alyssa and DRWHO42

This week be epic with the finales for American Gods, Fargo, The Originals, and Better Call Saul. These series have had great seasons and we certainly look forward to their return next season. Miclpea from our blog team has been writing insightful episode recaps for American Gods and if you are watching the series please check them out – click here.

The Mist (based on the Stephen King novel) is at the top of our list this week. We have been waiting to see this series and will be tuning to Spike this Thursday night. Glow, on Netflix, and the NBC summer series The Night Shift are also on our radars. While this week might be a little light on scripted TV there are a few interesting game shows worth checking out including The Gong Show (with Mike Meyers as the host but under a disguise), The Wall, and Hollywood Game Night.

Look at some of the on-going series on the top of our watch lists – Fear the Walking Dead, Doctor Who, and Orphan Black are having great seasons so far.  A ‘thought to be dead’ character returned to Fear the Walking Dead last week and we are curious to know more. Doctor Who continues to chart new paths in time & space. The acting this season has been superb and the stories are quite imaginative. Tatiana Maslany is making another run at an Emmy nomination with her performances (yes plural since each clone is so unique) in this final season Orphan Black.

The blog team and members of the FoCC forum are speculating which shows will have a presence at San Diego Comic Con – click here to join the conversation.

When the residents of Bridgeville, Maine find themselves engulfed by a foreboding mist containing a myriad of inexplicable and bizarre threats, their humanity is put to the test in THE MIST, a new 10 episode serialized drama.
Based on a story by Stephen King, THE MIST has been re-imagined for television by Executive Producer and Writer Christian Torpe and produced for Spike by TWC-Dimension Television. Spike’s THE MIST centers around a small town family that is torn apart by a brutal crime. As they deal with the fallout an eerie mist rolls in, suddenly cutting them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.
THE MIST stars Morgan Spector, Alyssa Sutherland, Gus Birney, Danica Curcic, Okezie Morro, Luke Cosgrove, Darren Pettie, Russell Posner, Dan Butler, Isiah Washington, Jr. and Frances Conroy. For more info Click Here.
