Next Week in TV 7/9: Will and Salvation

By DRWHO42 and Alyssa

This week is a diverse week of TV with plenty of variety to chose from ranging from William Shakespeare to the Amelia Earhart mystery and sharks to UFOs. Sunday night we will treated to a double dose of Fear the Walking Dead as it takes a mid-season break. This season has been highlighted with strong performances by the cast and the entrance of a brutal menace the gang will have to face. Prime Suspect: Tennison wraps up its series run on also on Sunday. The History Channel is airing a special on the Amelia Earhart mystery  which should be very interesting to watch. In advance of this special there was a report that indicated the she may have survived the crash and there was photographic evidence – you check out the article here.

On Monday Will will premiere on TNT – with a second episode airing right after. The series focuses on William Shakespeare’s ‘lost years’ and infuses some modern-day music (maybe a rap battle or two) in the retelling of the event that transpired during that time. Hooten and the Lady, airing on The CW, may have mixed reviews however we may have a hard time passing on an adventuring archaeologist so we will give it a shot. Other returning series include Suits, Battlebots and Penn & Teller.

Midweek, you may want to try Salavtion on CBS. The series is about a team who is trying to save humanity from asteroid that is hurtling toward the Earth. And finally, Friday is a night to tune into The History Channel for your fill of alien and UFO theories. UFO Files returns and is paired up with the always interesting Ancient Aliens.

Special note: As we are packing our bags and begin our journey to San Diego Comic Con next week’s article will be an expanded edition which will cover the next two weeks of TV.

Please interact with us on Twitter on @FoCCBlog or @Friendsofcci and let us know what series you may be interested in and we will try to get it in on our coverage during SDCC.
