From the ConThe Plan

SuperMansion is coming to NYCC

By NCDS

You may be asking, what is SuperMansion? I was in the same boat last year.  Somehow, the show had skipped my radar.   But last year, when planning to attend New York Comic Con (NYCC), I accidently selected SuperMansion in the autograph lottery and won.  I feel lucky anytime I win something, so how could I say no?  I headed to the signing, through the pouring rain, at Hammerstein Ballroom.  It turned out that the show was promoting the SuperMansion: War On Christmas program and the cast was delightful!  In fact, I enjoyed meeting them so much, especially receiving the creepy elf that Gary Anthony Williams gave to me, that I decided to stay for the panel.  When I got home, I caught up on the series and now I am a fan.

From the creators of Robot Chicken, SuperMansion is an emmy-nominated stop-motion animation show that takes a look at superheroes in a more human aspect.  Not only are these characters fighting for justice and liberty but they are fighting to stay relevant to society.   It is a delightfully funny and entertaining program.

This year’s holiday special is SuperMansion: Drag Me to Halloween which is premiering on October 5th on Crackle.  The SuperMansion NYCC panel will occur on the same day, at 6:45 PM, on the main stage at the Javits Center.  I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek at the special and found the episode to be a lot of fun.  Cooch (voiced by Heidi Gardner) is by far my favorite storyline and it brings me back to being a child.

Need to catch up on SuperMansion before the panel?  Both seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on Crackle.

This is one panel you don’t want to miss! If you plan to attend, tell us about it on the FoCC forum!
