Next Week in TV 2/11: Legends, Discovery, & the Olympics! Oh, My!

By Mario Wario, DRWHO42 and Alyssa

With the 2018 Winter Olympics beginning to dominate the world with its ‘curling powers’, some of our favorite television shows maybe staying away from that sporting kraken by going on a brief hiatus. For instance, The Flash will have a new episode on February 27 and Agents of Shield won’t be back until March, so don’t forget to check out that TV schedule to see if your favorite television show is doing the same. As for this week, we do have some topics to talk about!

For example, on CBS All Access, Sunday is all about going where no man has gone before with the first season finale of Star Trek: Discovery. So, get that Romulan Ale ready because this episode might be something of a treat for us fans…or it might not be. But since the mid-season premier the pacing has gotten a lot better and the action has been pretty good, as well. The acting has been consistently good, but that has been the case since the pilot episode. Moving right along, the After Trek series will be having its first season finale right after Discovery, and check out Counterpart (on Starz) as this Sunday night series has been thoroughly entertaining and suspenseful so far.

As for Monday, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow returns to The CW to save the space-time continuum, but joining the crew will be Matt Ryan as John Constantine! (No, not the football player but the actor.) This guest appearance should be dandy and it’s nice to see this series back after that long winter hiatus. By the way, please check out Black Lightning every Tuesday night—such a good show! As for Netflix, this streaming service has a lot of content premiering this week, so don’t forget to look at our list down below. Likewise, for Amazon.

But you say you need something to watch on Friday night? Then how about trying a certain Cinemax series called…Strike Back! Even with a different cast, the sixth season (so far) still has that crazy and suspenseful formula which made the previous seasons so entertaining to see. And if you are a Call of Duty fan, mainly the modern warfare part of the franchise, do watch this series because certain episodes will remind you of the video game. Binge watch the past seasons to catch-up—you won’t regret it.

Now going back to the Olympics, don’t forget to click HERE to bookmark the NBC website to see what event will be on. Some NBC channels will show those events live, so don’t forget to check out that TV schedule once again.

As always, go ahead and join the conversation over on the FoCC forum by clicking HERE. Keep following the blog for your daily dose of comic con culture. Until next week, happy viewing everyone!
