2016 TV renewals

ABC is renewed several shows today. Most notable are Agents of Shield (yes!) and Once Upon A Time.

No news on Agent Carter though.

Not geek genre, but was super happy to see that The Middle was renewed. So underrated-Eden Sher is so funny! Sue Heck is one of my favorite sitcom characters of all time.

I wouldn't have given OUAT another season, it's been going downhill.

I watch a lot of TV shows. The only one I desperately want to see renewed is Agent Carter.

I read that Hayley Atwell was attached to a new pilot for ABC. Something called "Conviction".

The article does state that "In case of a series order for Conviction and an improbable renewal of the Marvel drama (Agent Carter), ABC sources indicate there is a scenario in which she could possibly do both shows, potentially both as limited runs."  :-\

I think the Disney/ABC tie-in with the fairy tale characters is what keeps it afloat (read an article about that once-don't remember where). I stopped watching when it started conflicting with The Librarians and never went back.

Has The Muppets improved? I really couldn't get into it. I am willing to give it another try-it is The Muppets after all.

I echo the sentiment here about Agent Carter-would love to see more!

It's great that Hayley is now in such demand.
I say renew Agent Carter for one final season. Make it the best ever. Let her go out with a bang. Then she can do other projects.
Just don't cancel it without a satisfying conclusion.

Agree 100%. One more season at the very least. They can always weave in on-off specials without having to commit to a long run. X-files and 24 have proven that.

I think one of the biggest problems is that some of the changes they made to the Disney characters do NOT go over well. I just feel some of them were made to shut up the vocal minority demanding diversity (Which if they'd actually had watched, they'd see it) and it just made the Disney fans angry. If you want keep both sets of fans happy, you come up with solutions that will please both. Not make one side happy and another upset. Besides, there's a LOT of fairy tales Disney never got around to they could draw from... (Though I wish they'd give us some answers on some things that happened on the series...)

They have improved "The Muppets" by doing more humorous sketches on Piggy's show but right now the show ended on a cliffhanger about Kermit and Piggy! I hope this will get resolved!
